"A brand new social news site Old Dogg gets 27,000 votes in 25 days."
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 23, 2010 – Old Dogg a new social news site has just been launched and in the first 25 days the site had clocked up over 27,000 votes and 1,500 comments. For any site this is a great amount of activity but for a brand new site this is amazing. Old Dogg was created by a 27 year old graduate from the UK after a Twitter conversation. It took 4 hours to put together and upload then it was set live. 20 hours later an active user base had formed.
If you look at the top users list on Old Dogg you can see that X Digg users are now top users on Old Dogg. There are also users from other platforms like Mixx, Reddit and the site offers Facebook connect so users can use their Facebook account to sign in.
For those that do not know a social news site is a site where users can submit their favourite links. They can then comment, share and vote on all of the users links. The most popular links are then published to the front page and are promoted to the entire community.
http://olddogg.com is a brand new social news site where users decide what content is published to the front page. It has stories, images and videos from all around the internet submitted by the users which already include some of the top social media users from around the world.
